the venetian in macau

i have never been to macau. no reason to, especially having heard the feedback of my friends who 'exit' there instead of shenzhen. they said, 'nothing to do, just gambling', 'no places to go to'. now, learning that a new resort hotel will be opening tips the scale to a more favorable one. the venetian, like in las vegas, will hold its grand opening today, august 28. boasting as "asia's most exciting destination", all-suites accommodation, sprawling 968,000sq ft of shopping haven, gondola rides, complete with a spacious 15,000 seater convention center, this newest pit stop will be a delight to gamers and alike. not only does the venetian provides another tourist attraction but also, it generated more jobs for locals. (but knowing macau's unemployment rate is close to 0%, 20% of their staff is from HK or nearby places)

before i always associate macau with casinos, maybe it's time i gamble too.
